UK Hardwoods & Coppice & Crown
Visualising the British Timber Journey
Project Overview
Transfixus Creative has acted as the long-term visual partner for UK Hardwoods and its sister company, Coppice & Crown. Based on a family farm in South Molton, these brands represent the pinnacle of British timber craftsmanship. Our ongoing brief is to communicate the unique value of 100% British-grown flooring and cladding—from the management of local woodlands to the precision of the final kiln-dried product.

The Challenge
The UK timber market is often flooded with imported, mass-produced products. The challenge for these sister brands was to differentiate themselves by highlighting their "soil-to-surface" transparency. We needed to create a visual language that felt premium enough for high-end interior designers while maintaining the raw, honest, and hardworking atmosphere of a traditional British sawmill.

Our Approach
Over a series of commissions, we developed a comprehensive suite of brand films and cinematic website banners designed to lead the digital experience for both companies:

UK Hardwoods: We focused on the structural beauty and heritage of British Oak and Ash. The films highlight the "kiln-to-customer" process, emphasizing the stability and character of flooring grown and milled in the UK.

Coppice & Crown: Our work here shifted toward the architectural and aesthetic application of timber. We captured the textures and tones of their cladding ranges, positioning the brand as a leader in sustainable, high-performance exterior and interior finishes.

The Narrative: By filming on-site at the sawmills and in the surrounding woodlands, we anchored the brands in their Devon roots. We prioritised natural light and macro-cinematography to showcase the grain, weight, and quality of the timber.

The Result
The visual assets have become the cornerstone of both brands' digital presence. The hero banners provide an immediate, high-impact introduction to their websites, instantly communicating quality and provenance to prospective clients. By delivering a consistent visual style across both companies, Transfixus has helped establish a unified "house style" that reflects their shared commitment to British forestry and artisanal excellence.
